Academy Water & Sanitation (AWSD) is not engaged in the discussions regarding the Triview Northern Delivery System or the Loop Project proposals. Two competitive proposals are trying to solve the same issues that many districts are having regarding future water availability. AWSD is aware of these ongoing discussions as our engineering firm is tracking and providing updates periodically. These updates are reflected in our board meeting minutes. The AWSD water supply is not at risk as we draw primarily from renewable water sources.

In response to questions regarding radium in the Donala water and whether Academy Water and Sanitation District customers should have concerns:
- Our District tests the water for radium every 3 years.
- Tests have indicated we do not have a significant level of radium in our water.
- The Academy deep well is drawn from the Denver aquifer, which is a replenish-able water source. This helps us not have the radium issue the other districts are seeing.
- The March, 2022, test results for radium in our drinking water was 2.9pCi/L; the State maximum contaminant level is 5pCi/L.

CURB STOP LOCATIONS
The curb stop is the valve buried underground that allows water service to be shut off between the main supply line and your house. The District engaged a contractor to locate those that we did not have documented. There are approximately 34 still unlocated (in most cases under paved driveways). The District plans, at District expense, to coordinate with those homeowners and reinstall new curb stops (a few every year) at those locations over the next several years.
